Paragliding

IMG_2285My primary outdoor passion in life is Paragliding.

I first stumbled across paragliding in 2006 whilst back-packing across Spain. Having just met 2 spanish guys in Morcia who were keen to show me around, I was talked into a tandem paraglide. The conversation was in broken English and I was only vaguely aware of what I had agreed to. As it turned out, the wind was not optimal (whatever that meant) and we could go “parapenting” that day. I left Spain none the wiser of what amazing activity I had missed out on, but a year later, settled in London I decided to google “paragliding” and thought that actually, that sounded like something I really did want to do. So in 2007 I did my paragliding licence course in a little quaint French village called “La Motte-du-Caire”. Launching myself off the side of a large hill near Laragne I started the sport that would become my passion and focus for the next 7 years…
